For Ricky Proveaux, taxidermy is more than just preserving an animal- it’s about preserving the memory, the story, and the experience behind every hunt.

Ricky’s love for the outdoors and hunting is what inspired him to turn that passion into the craft of taxidermy. What started with an appreciation for the animals and the memories they represent grew into a dedication to learning the skill, understanding the details, and creating quality pieces that hunters can be proud to display.

His faith is at the heart of that passion. Genesis 1:26 reminds us of the responsibility God gave mankind to care for and steward His creation. Ricky believes that responsibility extends to the way we appreciate the outdoors, respect wildlife, and honor the animals that become part of our stories.

Ricky also strives to approach every piece with the mindset of 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Whether he’s working on a big game shoulder mount, a lifesize piece, a European mount, a rug, or a smaller trophy, he believes every project deserves the same level of care, attention, and craftsmanship.

From the initial preparation of a hide to the final details of a finished mount, Ricky takes pride in doing the job right. His goal is always the same- to create something that captures the character of the animal and brings the memory of the hunt back to life.

For Ricky, one of the best parts of taxidermy is knowing that each piece represents a story. The long days in the field, the anticipation, the hard work, and the moment that made the hunt unforgettable. Those are the memories that deserve to be preserved.

Every trophy that comes through the door has a story behind it. Ricky understands that, and he treats every piece as if it were his own- with respect for the animal, appreciation for the outdoors, and a commitment to honoring God through the work he does.
